Maneuverable high grass mower: The new AS 62 4T B&S
Mowing in meadows or garden areas can sometimes be like navigating an obstacle course. To keep it comfortable despite the curves, a lawn mower should not only be powerful, it should also be easy to maneuver. The AS 62 4T B&S from AS-Motor meets these requirements.
The AS 62 4T B&S is designed for smooth operation. This is a result of the drive concept without a permanently locked drive axle that was developed for this lawn mower. In addition, for easy steering and turning, the front wheels are movable; however, they can also be locked for comfortable longitudinal driving on slopes. The V-handlebar is laterally adjustable, which means the operator can easily avoid obstacles: Whether it is thorn bushes, low-hanging branches or walls, the operator maintains a comfortable distance from these obstacles. The AS 62 4T B&S mows and mulches vegetation up to 90 centimeters and thanks to a 1:1.6 motor-blade reduction, it has high capacity in dense vegetation.
Compact but powerful
With a cutting width of 61 centimeters, it offers a working area of approximately 2,440 square meters per hour. Due to its capacity and cutting power, it is also well suited for medium-sized areas and undulating terrain. The smoothly running 4-stroke engine from Briggs & Stratton with 5.5 hp maximum power ensures a driving speed between 1.9 and 4.0 km/h. When mowing, the speed regulator on the handlebar allows variable adjustment of the driving speed. The height-adjustable handlebar and the damping of the V-handlebar, which reduces hand-arm vibrations to a minimum, also contribute to the high mowing comfort. The cutting height between 50 and 100 millimeters can be variably adjusted on the front axle and adjusted in five levels on the rear axle. The AS 62 4T B&S can also be easily transported: When the handlebar is folded, the 65-kilogram unit is reduced to compact transport dimensions (96x70x74 centimeters) and fits even in the luggage compartment of a station wagon.
A closed cutting deck protects the user
For powerful forward movement even on undulating terrain or mild slopes, extra-large drive wheels (diameter 30 centimeters) are used for the AS 62 4T B&S. The conical, closed cutting deck ensures that the grass is fed into the blades and at the same time protects the operator from stones or other foreign objects. The material to be cut is chopped and thrown out backwards. For improved engine protection, the blades and engine shaft are separated from each other by the blade coupling. If the blade hits roots or stones, the impact is dampened and not transferred to the crankshaft. This avoids costly repairs. The AS 62 4T B&S is the right choice for users who need a strong, compact and maneuverable meadow mower for undulating terrain. Those who need a little more power to work on steeper slopes can rely on the AS 63 2T ES with a 2-stroke engine, limited slip differential and automatic speed limitation when driving downhill.
